Description
Houston is a growing metropolis and fourth largest city in the United States of America. In 2017 the oil business is making a come back, the Stock Market is booming. We are told that unemployment is nearing the bottom, and the labor force is shrinking.
Street Photography is conducted for art or enquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents within public places. Street photography can focus on people and their behavior in public, thereby also recording people's history.
These are candid street photographs taken at a decisive moment along the Southwest Freeway (Interstate 69/U.S. Route 59) in Houston Texas between Kirby Dr and Weslayan Blvd. beginning in fall of 2017 to February 2018. This is a prosperous neighborhood but street people are attracted to Houston in the winter with its mild cool weather. This photo documents the hard luck recovery has not reached everyone.
