Description
In Houston, the annual Marathon is a big sporting event. The race starts at 7:00 AM in January and people flock to the streets to cheer the international and local runners on. The 2019 Houston Marathon started with clear, dry, cold (for Houston 32 deg F) weather and the viewers in West University Place mostly stayed in Bed.
This is a photograph of Guy Alton from Bolder, Colorado in the 30-24 division at the 10 mile mark near Edloe St and West University Blvd four minutes behind the Pacers. He came in at the 34th Overall Place at 02:24:35.
In 2019 Albert Korir of Kenya won the men's event and Biruktayit Degafa from Ethiopia won the woman's event.
