A black and white Chiaroscuro abstract 21st Century photograph of a tree bark in Houston. The tree is the Texas Royal Live Oak which can grow to be be hundreds of years old. The tree is famed for its beautiful elegant shapes and rough textured bark. Chiaroscuro, in art, is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition.
