In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS!

Artist's Description

The most prestigeous neighborhood in Houston is River Oaks. Arguably the second is this section on North and South Boulvards. Boulevard Oaks is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas, United States, north of Rice University and south of U.S. Highway 59. Developed primarily during the 1920s and 1930s, Boulevard Oaks contains two National Register historic districts, Broadacres and Boulevard Oaks. Royal Live Oak trees can have a lifespan over 400 years. These trees are still youngsters at 100 years.

Photograph made with an Infrared Converted Nikon Z 6.
