Description
This is not a pretty picture. This is not a picture anyone could like. I do not know what happened, and I do not know the outcome. But after walking up to a rural overpass and seeing this scene, I felt compelled to make this image as a reminder. Nothing is for Certain… Life can unexpectedly change in a fraction of a second.
The 21st Century photograph was taken on the A2 highway between Ljubljana, Slovenia and Zagreb, Croatia near Brežice in late evening with a Nikon D810.

The title of your worked stopped me, and your choice of cars traveling on the highway is an apt representation. We so trustfully climb in our vehicles and head out a rapid speeds, never really thinking that, as you say, nothing is for certain.
