Description
Every major European city in the 21st Century seems to have a bridge with attached locks of lovers. This one is The Butcher's "Love Bridge" in Ljubljana, Slovenia... the green Capital of Europe. The Butchers' Bridge (Slovene: Mesarski most) is a footbridge crossing the river Ljubljanica in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It connects the Ljubljana Central Market and the Petkovšek Embankment ...Some are engraved, some are scratched with names, some are scratched out. It's like a tattoo. Once it is on... it remains... old, new. There is no escaping that locks go through the same stages of love as humans.
Slovenia, officially the Republic of Slovenia is a nation state located in southern Central Europe. The country is located at the crossroads of main European cultural and trade routes. It is bordered by Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia to the south and southeast, and the Adriatic Sea to the southwest. It covers 20,273 square kilometers (7,827 sq mi) and has a population of 2.06 million.
