Description
This is a 21st Century photograph of a set of rapids in the Krka river in Croatia National Park upstream of the city of Šibenik in the springtime. The national park is a vast and primarily unaltered area of exceptional natural value, including one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. The purpose of the park is primarily to serve science, culture, education and recreation, while tourism activities have also been introduced for its visitors. This is one of the best known natural beauties of Croatia. This river is not to be confused with the Slovenian Krka river 400 km to the north.
We were here in the spring time when the river was running strong!
