Description
21st Century Photograph of a 19th Century Victorian House at 1102 Heights Blvd in Houston, Texas 77008. Photograph taken with a Nikon D810.
The Houston Heights, one of the earliest planned communities in Texas, is located 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of Downtown Houston. A National Geographic article says "stroll the area's broad, tree-canopied esplanades and side streets dotted with homes dating from the early 1900s and you may think you've landed in a small town." The Heights, which is sometimes described as "Houston's own mini-Austin," has many "low-key" restaurants and beer gardens.

Wonderful image of a now-landmark among my memories growing up in Houston in the 50s & 60s; used to stroll by this house each day on my way to the now named Heights High School - like/fav! :)
